Celebrity River Cruises has released long-awaited details about its ships, including names of the first two: Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker, both modeled after Celebrity's Edge class.
The ships will feature an open deck, giving passengers uninterrupted 360-degree views, and an infinity-edge plunge pool.

Guests can dine in the Magic Edge, which Celebrity says is the first cantilevered dining pod. There will be eight bars and restaurants onboard, including ones familiar to those who already have cruised the ocean with Celebrity: Martini Bar, Sunset Bar and Café al Bacio.
Food options will be available 24/7.
Celebrity River Cruises will debut the brand with 33 seven-night sailings on the Rhine and Danube. Pre-and post-cruise stays can be booked in early 2026, including in Prague and Budapest.

Staterooms will have king-size beds in every room, balconies, a complimentary minibar and destination-inspired amenities. The rooms will feature the most in-room amenities compared with other river cruise lines, the company said. There will be five stateroom categories.
Suite guests will have on-demand butlers, whom they can connect with through a chat service. They will also have access to an exclusive dining room, room service, happy hours and complimentary laundry. Those staying in suites will have first dibs on excursions.

Some suites will feature a separate living area and ceiling window for better natural light.
The ships will be equipped with a hybrid propulsion system, waste-management system and advanced technology to reduce noise and vibration, Celebrity said. The vessels will have a patent-pending design, said Celebrity Cruises president Laura Hodges Bethge.

The loyalty tiers in Celebrity's Captain's Club extend to river cruising.
The fledgling river cruise line opened priority booking access Wednesday, which will allow those who pay a refundable $500 deposit to book their cruise before 2027 itineraries open to the general public.
