Once again, "travel advisor" has made it onto LinkedIn's list of 25 fastest-growing careers.

In this year's LinkedIn Jobs on the Rise report, travel advisor sits at No. 18 (the top-growing jobs this year were AI engineers and AI consultants and strategists, who likely would find work in the travel industry).

While travel advisor is lower on the list of 25 careers than it was last year, when it sat at No. 5, it's still a testament to the profession.

To compile this year's report, LinkedIn said it examined millions of jobs that members started from Jan. 1 to July 31, 2025.

Most travel advisors transitioned from prior roles of administrative assistant, salesperson and customer service, according to LinkedIn.

"To be ranked, a job title needed to see positive growth across our membership base and sufficient job postings in the past year, as well as have grown to a meaningful size by 2025," LinkedIn said.

The LinkedIn data confirms what we've been reporting about growth in the trade in recent years.

This month, host agency Nexion said it had seen a 20% increase in people interested in becoming advisors.
President Jackie Friedman said the profession has draws of "flexibility, purpose and growth."

"We're seeing strong interest from career changers and entrepreneurs who want more control over their work while helping clients create meaningful travel experiences," Friedman said.

According to a survey of Nexion advisors, 88% of respondents said they would recommend a career as an advisor. Further, 83% are optimistic about the industry's future.
