South Africa is set for a packed tourism trade show calendar in 2026, with a renewed focus on gender empowerment, global partnerships and business growth across the sector.
WTM Africa 2026 will take place in Cape Town from April 14 to 16 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, introducing new alliances with Women in MICE and Women in Tourism. These partnerships aim to address the gender gap in African tourism leadership. This year's program also features expanded content on AI, wine tourism, LGBTQ+ travel and traveler psychology along with the China Ready Workshop and the Africa Tourism Investment Conference. WTM attendees can expect hands-on workshops, immersive wine experiences and the return of the Africa Travel Week Media Awards. Registration is now open, with free registration until March 13 for members of the trade.
OurAfrica.Travel returns virtually from March 16 to 20, connecting African and Indian Ocean suppliers with global buyers in a flexible, cost-effective format, ideal for small and remote operators.
We Are Africa is back in Cape Town from May 4 to 8, targeting the luxury and experiential market, while Africa's Travel Indaba will take place in Durban from May 11 to 14, gathering the continent's top tourism products and buyers.
